What are the three protections of three-proof products? SINSMART TECH test process revealed
Three-proof notebook products are favored by specific user groups for their unique three-proof characteristics of waterproof, dustproof and drop-resistant, but whether these notebooks can really stand the test when facing extreme conditions is a question of great concern to consumers and professionals. This article will reveal the SINSMART TECH test process and content.

Table of Contents
1. Test preparation
Before conducting the test, it is necessary to first determine the evaluation criteria. The mainstream standards on the market include the national standard protection level IP code and the US military standard MIL-STD-810G, and prepare professional test environments and tools to simulate various extreme situations that may be encountered.
2. Test content
(1). IP protection level: IP level is the protection level of the electrical equipment shell against foreign body intrusion. The format of IP level is IPXX, where XX is two Arabic numerals. The first mark number indicates the contact protection and foreign body protection level, and the second mark number indicates the waterproof protection level.

(2). Working temperature and hot and humid environment: Three-proof products usually need to operate in a wide temperature environment, so the working temperature they can withstand must be tested.
(3). Drop: that is, drop resistance height test, which needs to go through 26 drop directions, including 6 faces, 8 vertices and 12 edges.
(4). Vibration and impact resistance: The vibration and impact resistance of the three-proof products must also be tested to provide a reference for actual use.
(5). Electromagnetic compatibility: Fully reinforced three-proof laptops are usually equipped with metal shells and need to pass electromagnetic compatibility tests.
3. Testing process
(1). In the waterproof test, one is to test whether it can resist rain and water sprayed from the direction with a vertical angle of less than 50°, which is generally for semi-reinforced notebooks; fully reinforced notebooks need to be tested whether they can withstand large waves or water rapidly sprayed from the water spray hole.

(2). In the dustproof test, the device is placed in a high dust environment and runs for several hours to simulate the impact of severe weather such as sandstorms on the device. It cannot completely prevent dust intrusion, but the amount of dust intrusion does not affect the normal operation of the electrical system. It is a semi-reinforced notebook; a fully reinforced notebook can completely prevent dust intrusion.
(3). In the drop test, the notebooks were dropped 26 times on a 5.08mm thick wooden board. The notebooks that passed the 121.92cm drop test were semi-reinforced notebooks, and the notebooks that dropped 152.4cm were fully reinforced notebooks.
(4). In the vibration test, the vibration energy of fully reinforced and semi-reinforced triple-proof notebooks is different. The semi-reinforced frequency is 10-500Hz, the root mean square of each acceleration is: X-axis 1.22Grms, Y-axis 2.52Grms, Z-axis 3.98Grms, and the vibration time in each direction is 2 hours; the fully reinforced frequency is 20-2000Hz, the root mean square of acceleration is 7.7Grms, 20-2000Hz.

(5). In the impact test, the peak acceleration is 40G (392m/s2), lasting 11ms, with a sawtooth pulse waveform, and 6 directions must vibrate 3 times before passing the test.
4. Conclusion
Through this series of tests, it can be ensured that the IP65 laptop products can meet the three-proof characteristics of dustproof, waterproof, and drop-proof. The quality of ruggedised laptops produced by SINSMART TECH is reliable and guaranteed, making them a trusted choice among rugged laptop manufacturers and rugged computer manufacturers. These solutions are also ideal as industry laptops or even the best laptops for mechanics who require performance and durability.
